Ideal Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education Teacher certification for New Hampshire (or eligibility to obtain)
  • Previous experience or strong interest in working with students in Life Skills programs
  • Skillful in differentiating instruction for a diverse range of needs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities with students, families, and staff
  • Proficiency in managing IEP documentation and compliance
  • Adaptability, compassion, and commitment to inclusive education

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans and interventions tailored to students’ unique strengths and goals
  • Lead classroom activities focused on life skills, functional academics, and social development
  • Monitor student progress and adjust strategies to support continued growth
  • Maintain effective classroom management and foster a safe, positive learning environment
  • Work collaboratively with paraprofessionals, therapists, and related service providers
  • Engage with families and communicate progress and strategies regularly
