Special Education Teacher in Dover, PA

Make an impact by supporting students in an onsite Special Education Teacher role for an ESY (Extended School Year) assignment. This contract position is located near Dover, PA, offering you the chance to provide meaningful instruction and encouragement during the summer session, with an option to continue into the 26/27 school year. The ESY program runs from July 8 to July 30, 2026, Monday through Thursday, with a dedicated inservice day on July 7, 2026. Working hours are approximately 8:15am to 11:45am during ESY. Should you extend into the full school year, your schedule would be 7:45am to 3:15pm.

Essential Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Prior experience supporting students with diverse learning needs
• Effective classroom management and communication skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual educational plans (IEPs)
• Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning environment

Key Responsibilities:
