Special Education Teacher | Dover, Pennsylvania

This rewarding contract opportunity focuses on supporting students in Autistic Support classrooms, providing individualized instruction and fostering both academic and personal growth. With the school day running Monday through Friday, from 7:45 am to 3:15 pm, you’ll enjoy a consistent schedule from August 2026 through June 2027.

Your expertise will help nurture an inclusive and supportive classroom atmosphere, and you’ll collaborate with fellow educators to develop strategies that best meet the unique needs of each student.

Ideal candidates will bring:

• Valid Pennsylvania teaching certificate in Special Education
• Previous experience working with students on the autism spectrum or in similar special education settings
• Strong understanding of evidence-based instructional and behavioral interventions
• Commitment to professional growth and participation in assigned pre-training sessions
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
• Willingness to adapt to possible changes in classroom assignments within the learning center

Your daily responsibilities will include:

• Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons for students with varying needs
• Implementing IEPs and tracking student progress
• Creating a safe, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
• Collaborating with paraprofessionals and specialists to support student success
• Communicating regularly with families and the educational team
