A rewarding opportunity is available for a dedicated special education teacher to support preschool learners during an upcoming leave. This classroom-based role is essential to helping young children build foundational skills in an encouraging and structured environment.
In this position, you’ll guide morning and afternoon preschool sessions, creating an accessible curriculum that fosters growth and development. By collaborating with families and support staff, you’ll make a meaningful difference in every child’s daily experience.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
- Experience teaching or supporting young children, ideally at the preschool or early elementary level
- Familiarity with differentiated instruction and developmentally appropriate practices
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and team members
- Strong communication, organizational, and record-keeping skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to preschool students in both morning (8:00-10:30) and afternoon (12:20-2:50) sessions
- Support students with varying abilities, creating an inclusive and nurturing environment
- Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals, therapists, and administrators
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Adapt lesson plans and activities to fit students’ unique learning needs
- Foster a safe, positive classroom culture that promotes growth, confidence, and joy in learning
This position follows a schedule of 7:45am–3:15pm, allowing for preparation and team coordination outside of student session times.
