Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience supporting elementary-aged students, preferably grades K–2
• Ability to develop and adapt individualized education plans
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with families and other educational staff
• Understanding of a variety of learning and behavioral needs
• Commitment to inclusion and fostering a positive learning environment

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver individualized instruction and modify curriculum for students with diverse needs
• Assess student progress and track goals through data-driven strategies
• Collaborate with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to ensure accommodations are in place
• Foster an encouraging, structured, and adaptable classroom climate
• Communicate regularly with families to share progress and update on educational plans
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the creation of effective support plans that address both academic and socio-emotional goals
