Apply NowSoliant is seeking a dedicated Elementary Life Skills Special Education Teacher to support a structured and collaborative classroom environment. This role serves a small group of students with significant needs and includes strong para support.
Assignment Details:

Caseload: Approximately 7–8 students

Support Staff: 4 paraprofessionals in the classroom

Schedule: 7.5 hours per day / 37.5 hours per week

Paid conference period: 30 minutes

Unpaid lunch: 30 minutes

Typical hours: ~7:30 a.m.–3:30 p.m.

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: End of 2025–2026 school year

PD and staff workdays: Require pre-approval
Responsibilities:

Provide specialized instruction to students in a Life Skills setting.

Implement IEPs with fidelity and monitor student progress.

Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals to ensure consistent routines and support.

Maintain a structured, safe, and supportive classroom environment.

Adapt curriculum and instructional materials to meet diverse needs.

Communicate regularly with families, service providers, and campus staff.
Requirements:

Active Texas Special Education certification required.

Strong experience working with elementary students with significant support needs preferred.

Demonstrated ability to lead a classroom team and manage paraprofessionals.

Solid communication, organization, and behavior management skills.
