Open roles include:
- High School Focus Teacher (Inclusive Behavior Program): Guide students needing occasional behavioral redirection in a supportive environment, offering calm spaces and productive strategies to help them succeed.
- Elementary Inclusion/Resource Teacher: Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, adapt and deliver content based on individual needs, and ensure students receive comprehensive support both in mainstream and specialized settings.
- Elementary/High School Alternate Curriculum Class (Lifeskills) Teacher: Provide personalized instruction for students with cognitive impairments, tailoring programs to foster independence and real-world skills.
Key qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field
- Valid teaching certification in Special Education
- Demonstrated experience with behavior management and inclusive teaching practices
- Ability to adapt curriculum and instruction for diverse learners
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Collaborative approach to working with colleagues and support staff
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Foster a positive, respectful classroom environment
- Liaise with families, support teams, and administrators to ensure student progress
- Employ evidence-based practices to facilitate learning and social-emotional growth
- Track and report on student outcomes
