Both opportunities are located in the vibrant Dripping Springs area and involve working alongside dedicated staff to foster an inclusive environment for students with diverse needs.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Valid Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience in special education environments (high school and/or elementary)
- Knowledge of differentiated instruction, IEP development, and collaborative teaching
- Commitment to inclusive educational practices
- Strong communication and organization skills
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement specialized lesson plans that align with students' IEPs
- Collaborate with general education teachers to deliver instruction within the inclusion model (high school ACC)
- Provide individualized and small group instruction in the self-contained setting (elementary STARS)
- Monitor and document student progress, adapting strategies as needed
- Communicate regularly with families, related service providers, and administration
- Foster an encouraging, positive classroom culture that values all learners
