Special Education Teacher | Dubach, Louisiana

Key Qualifications:

• Active Louisiana Special Education Early Intervention (Birth-5) Certificate required
• Solid grasp of special education procedures and developing, implementing, and monitoring IEPs
• Experience teaching PreK and Kindergarten curriculum
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities with educators, students, and families
• Familiarity with adapting lessons to diverse learning needs
• Ability to work onsite in a school setting

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction to young students with special needs
• Assess students’ progress and adapt plans to enhance development and achievement
• Develop and maintain accurate records, including IEP documentation
• Consult with parents, teachers, and support staff to coordinate services and provide updates
• Create a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment
• Participate in team meetings and support school-wide special education initiatives
