Preferred Qualifications & Experience:

• Active Special Education Teacher certification (or eligibility)
• Classroom teaching experience in Special Education, serving elementary grades (1st–5th)
• Strong knowledge of IEP processes, instructional best practices, and differentiation strategies
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with students, families, and staff
• Comfortable adapting instruction and environment to accommodate diverse learning needs

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and adapt lesson plans to meet individualized education program (IEP) goals for students in 1st–5th grades
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers to promote an inclusive learning environment
• Regularly monitor student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with state and federal guidelines
• Participate in IEP meetings, contributing to development, review, and revision of student plans
• Foster a supportive classroom culture that encourages social-emotional growth and academic achievement
• Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with best practices in Special Education
