Qualifications and Experience:

• Current certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain)
• Previous experience working with children with special needs in a classroom environment
• Solid understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with families, staff, and other professionals
• Proficiency in adapting curriculum and teaching strategies to accommodate a diverse range of learning abilities
• Organizational skills that support effective classroom management

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s strengths and needs
• Adapt and modify curriculum content and instructional methods to foster student engagement and academic growth
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, related service providers, and families to support student progress
• Monitor and document student goals, collecting data to inform instructional strategies and IEP updates
• Advocate for student needs and provide resources or support as appropriate
