Special Education Teacher in Eagle, CO

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
• Valid state teaching certification in Special Education
• Previous experience teaching or supporting PreK or early childhood students with special needs
• Strong knowledge of IEP processes, documentation, and compliance
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt instructional strategies for a variety of learning styles
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students, in consultation with families and multidisciplinary teams
• Provide direct instruction and differentiated learning strategies to pre-kindergarten students across various classroom settings
• Monitor progress and adjust teaching approaches to meet evolving student needs
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, therapists, and support staff to ensure coordinated services
• Maintain detailed records in compliance with district and legal requirements
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress and strategies for ongoing support
