Exciting contract opportunities are available for dedicated Special Education professionals passionate about supporting students in their academic and personal growth. These roles focus on providing individualized support and tailored instruction to students with diverse learning needs. Two positions are open for the upcoming school year, serving different age groups and grade levels.
Available Positions:
Early Childhood Special Education (PreK)
- Duration: August 10, 2026 – May 28, 2027
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:30 am – 3:30 pm (40 hours/week)
- Caseload: 10–20 students, ages 3–5
- Location: Multiple sites within the district (assigned based on your skill set)
- In-person position (virtual not available)
Middle School Special Education (Grades 6–8)
- Duration: August 10, 2026 – May 28, 2027
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 am – 4:00 pm (40 hours/week)
- Caseload: 22 students, ages 10–14
- Primary site located at a middle school in the district; in-person preferred, but virtual may be considered in certain cases
Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education teaching license/certification for Colorado, or eligibility to obtain
- Experience or strong interest in working with early childhood or middle school-aged students with diverse learning needs
- Ability to manage and support caseloads of varying sizes
- Familiarity with IEP development, progress monitoring, and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with staff and families
- Adapt curriculum and instructional strategies to meet individual needs
- Provide direct instruction and support to students in both individual and small group settings
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and service providers
- Foster an inclusive, positive classroom environment that encourages student growth
