Special Education Teacher in Eagle, CO

Make a meaningful difference working as a Special Education Teacher serving middle school students with significant support needs. This contract opportunity begins immediately, with the potential to extend through late May. The role is designed to support a small caseload of 5 students in 6th through 8th grade, offering personalized instruction and care in an inclusive educational community.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification or license (copy required upon submission)
• Experience working with students with significant support needs preferred
• Knowledge of individualized education program (IEP) processes and compliance
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with families, colleagues, and support staff
• Ability to create and adapt instructional materials to meet diverse learning styles

Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored instruction to a classroom of students requiring significant support
• Develop and implement IEPs in accordance with state and federal guidelines
• Maintain ongoing communication with parents/guardians and interdisciplinary team members
• Track student progress, adjust strategies, and advocate for additional resources as needed
• Ensure a safe, positive, and structured classroom environment

Position Details:

• Full-time, 40 hours per week; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:40am–3:50pm; Wednesday 9:40am–3:50pm
• Work with middle school students (ages 6th–8th grade) in a specialized classroom setting
• Location: Berry Creek Middle School, Edwards, Colorado
• Competitive compensation of $82.58 per hour
