A Special Education Teacher position is available at an elementary school in East Aurora, NY. This is a contract role for the current school year (CSY), focusing on delivering specialized instruction and support to elementary students with diverse learning needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s abilities and goals
- Provide direct instruction and intervention to students with disabilities in an inclusive classroom setting
- Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and families to support student success
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and participate in team meetings and evaluations
- Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet the unique learning styles of each student on the elementary caseload
