Openings Available:

  • 8th Grade Self-Contained Classroom (7:45am-2:45pm)
  • 6th Grade Inclusion Special Education Teacher—support in the general education setting and specialized instruction in dedicated classes (7:45am-2:45pm)
  • 3rd-5th Self-Contained Classroom (7:45am-2:45pm)

Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Special Education (or related degree)
  • Appropriate state teaching licensure for Special Education in Illinois (or eligibility for reciprocity)
  • Experience with self-contained or inclusion models
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Passion for supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of all students

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver differentiated instruction to support students' diverse needs
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, families, and staff
  • Develop and implement IEPs
  • Create welcoming, supportive classroom environments
