Special Education Teacher in Easton, MD

This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 17, 2026, to June 18, 2027. You’ll provide direct educational support across elementary, middle, and high school settings, working with both inclusion and self-contained classes focused on behavioral and life skills development.

In this role, you’ll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to create an engaging, supportive environment that ensures every student can succeed. Enjoy regular hours, working Monday through Friday from 7:25am to 4:00pm, allowing for a consistent routine and work-life balance.

What we’re looking for:

• Valid certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Experience teaching in special education settings, with comfort supporting inclusion and self-contained classrooms
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with students, families, and colleagues
• Knowledge of behavior intervention strategies and individualized education plan (IEP) development
• Commitment to fostering growth in both academic and life skills

Key responsibilities:

• Plan and implement individualized instruction for students with diverse learning needs
• Develop and monitor IEPs, collaborating with support staff and caregivers
• Use evidence-based behavioral and educational interventions in the classroom
• Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports
• Cultivate a positive, safe, and encouraging classroom climate
