In this role, you'll work full-time during the 2026–2027 school year in a student-focused, collaborative environment. Supporting middle and high school students within an inclusive co-teaching model, you will encounter a variety of workplace practices and innovative approaches to student success. This assignment not only grows your resume, but also provides meaningful experiences and lifelong memories—both inside and outside of school hours.
Qualifications
- Active Maryland Special Education teaching license
- Preferred: Previous experience in a school-based or similar setting
- Proven abilities in collaboration and classroom management
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Offer specialized instruction and academic support in classroom and small-group settings
- Collaborate with general education teachers, school staff, and families
- Provide push-in/pull-out services for a caseload of approximately 10–15 students (OHI, learning disabilities, autism, language impairments)
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress records
- Foster a supportive and inclusive classroom community
