As a Special Education Teacher for elementary students, you’ll work full-time, five days a week throughout the 2026–2027 school year, making a difference from August 24, 2026 through June 14, 2027.
Qualifications:
- Current and active Maryland Special Education Teacher license required
- Previous experience within a school-based setting preferred
- Outstanding communication, collaboration, and classroom management abilities
- Skilled at differentiating instruction for a wide range of learning needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to student strengths and goals
- Provide specialized instruction in both inclusive and pull-out environments as determined by student need
- Collaborate effectively with classroom teachers, related service providers, administrators, and families
- Track student progress, maintain documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Cultivate a welcoming, inclusive, and positive classroom community
