Key Qualifications:

• Valid South Carolina Special Education teaching license with early childhood endorsements
• In-depth understanding of early intervention strategies and preschool special education best practices
• Experience designing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs)
• Strong classroom management and adaptive instructional skills
• Compassion, patience, and a genuine passion for working with young children with developmental delays
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with families, colleagues, and support staff

Core Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted, engaging instruction to preschool-aged children (age 3) identified with developmental delays (DD)
• Develop and execute IEPs that address each child’s individual strengths and areas of need
• Collaborate with related service providers, classroom teams, and family members to ensure holistic support for each student
• Foster a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom community
• Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in IEP meetings as required
• Adapt lessons and activities to accommodate a range of abilities
