Desired Qualifications:

• Current Special Education certification valid in Alabama
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or related field
• Previous experience working with elementary students in resource or self-contained settings
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt lessons and materials to varying student needs
• Excellent communication with students, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Provide small group and individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals
• Monitor and document student progress toward objectives
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff
• Maintain a positive, structured, and supportive classroom environment
• Communicate proactively with families regarding student performance
