Embark on a rewarding experience as a Special Education Teacher supporting students across multiple school sites in the greater St. Paul, MN area. This contract position involves fulfilling diverse special education needs throughout several campuses, including roles focused on Autism Spectrum Disorder, Developmental Cognitive Disabilities, Early Childhood Special Education, and homebound instruction. Position appointments are available immediately and continue through June 11, 2026, with a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Required: Active and valid Minnesota (MN) teaching license in Special Education, or ability to obtain prior to start.
- Experience with diverse special education environments, including but not limited to Setting 1, 2, 3, and 4 classrooms, itinerant services, and individualized homebound support.
- Knowledge of evidence-based strategies for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Developmental Cognitive Disabilities (DCD), and early childhood interventions.
- Strong communication skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate with families, colleagues, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Organizational skills to manage varying caseloads (ranging from 4–19 students depending on assignment).
Responsibilities:
- Deliver specialized instructional services in on-site classroom settings, or provide individualized homebound education, tailored to each student’s Individualized Education Program (IEP).
- Develop and implement lesson plans that accommodate the unique learning needs of students with autism, developmental disabilities, and early childhood special education needs.
- Maintain timely and accurate student records and IEP documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines.
- Work collaboratively with general education staff, service providers, and families to support student success and inclusion.
- Engage in ongoing professional growth and training aligned with best practices in special education.
