Step into a rewarding contract role for the upcoming 25/26 school year as an onsite Special Education Teacher supporting elementary students (K-6th) in an engaging charter school environment. With a small overall enrollment of approximately 100 students, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on a close-knit learning community and provide individualized support tailored to each student’s needs.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Special Education (SPED) teaching license
    -- OR --
  • General Education (Gen Ed) candidates with SPED experience holding a PELSB License (T2-T4); opportunity available for out-of-field placement with proper form submission
  • Previous experience teaching or supporting elementary-aged children, especially in small group or individualized settings
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive, empathetic, and motivating learning environment

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Deliver and adapt specialized instruction for a small group of K-6th students, ensuring compliance with IEP goals and charter school standards
  • Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success
  • Develop, implement, and track progress on IEP goals, maintaining accurate and timely documentation
  • Participate in relevant IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
  • Utilize creative strategies to engage elementary learners and support their academic, behavioral, and social development
