Desired Qualifications:

• Current Special Education (SPED) Licensure
• Alternatively, candidates with General Education experience and a valid Gen Ed PELSB License (T2 – T4) may be considered if willing to complete an out-of-field form
• Practical experience or demonstrated aptitude working with elementary-aged students with diverse learning needs
• Dedication to creating inclusive, engaging, and individualized educational experiences
• Strong communication and collaborative skills
• Reflective, flexible, and adaptable approach to teaching in a dynamic environment

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction and support to a small group of K-6 students
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) with input from families and other professionals
• Monitor student progress, adjusting strategies to meet each child’s needs
• Foster a supportive classroom atmosphere that encourages participation and growth
• Collaborate with general education staff to ensure all students can access the curriculum
• Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with caregivers
