With a small overall enrollment of approximately 100 students, you'll have the opportunity to make a significant impact on a close-knit learning community and provide individualized support tailored to each student’s needs.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid Special Education (SPED) teaching license
-- OR -- - General Education (Gen Ed) candidates with SPED experience holding a PELSB License (T2-T4); opportunity available for out-of-field placement with proper form submission
- Previous experience teaching or supporting elementary-aged children, especially in small group or individualized settings
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, empathetic, and motivating learning environment
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver and adapt specialized instruction for a small group of K-6th students, ensuring compliance with IEP goals and charter school standards
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success
- Develop, implement, and track progress on IEP goals, maintaining accurate and timely documentation
- Participate in relevant IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
- Utilize creative strategies to engage elementary learners and support their academic, behavioral, and social development
