Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid teaching license with a Special Education endorsement appropriate for middle school EBD
• Experience working with students who have Emotional Behavior Disorders or similar needs
• Strong classroom management and behavior intervention skills
• Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and support staff
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities
• Flexibility, creativity, and empathy when addressing diverse student needs

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction and support to a caseload of EBD students at the middle school level
• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Utilize evidence-based strategies to foster social, emotional, and academic growth
• Collaborate closely with general education teachers, counselors, and other service providers
• Lead small group interventions and adapt lessons based on student goals
• Establish a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment to promote positive behavior
• Engage in regular communication with families on student progress and strategies
