Special Education Teacher in Eden Prairie, MN

Step into a dynamic contract opportunity making an impact in the lives of students with diverse needs. This role supports a district-wide initiative to provide specialized education programs across multiple age levels, including focused placements at a middle school site.

As a Special Education professional, you’ll help create an inclusive, engaging environment, adapt curriculum as needed, and collaborate closely with staff and families to foster student growth. You'll be part of a dedicated team ensuring academic and developmental success for learners accessing tier 3 or 4 support.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Current Minnesota teaching credential required (Special Education: Developmental Cognitive Disabilities licensure)
• Experience working with students in specialized programs or complex needs settings is highly valued
• Knowledge and application of individualized education plans (IEPs) and best practices for differentiated instruction
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Passion for supporting learners at all developmental, behavioral, and academic levels

Role Highlights:

• Support special programs at all age levels; several placements available, including three focused at a middle school campus (resource and RISE)
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with school stakeholders
• Adapt and modify curriculum to accommodate diverse learning styles
• Partner with families and related service providers to set and achieve individualized goals
• Track progress, maintain records, and communicate successes and challenges to relevant teams
• Full-time, 35 hours weekly; exclusively on-site
