Embark on a rewarding contract position supporting students in specialized programs for the upcoming academic year! This opportunity requires a dedicated Special Education Teacher with strong classroom management and expertise working with diverse learners across all grade levels. Desired Qualifications:
- Current Minnesota Teaching Credential with a specialization in Special Education: Developmental Cognitive Disabilities
- Experience working with special education populations across multiple age groups
- Strong knowledge of best practices for students requiring intensive interventions
- Ability to collaborate closely with other educators, support staff, and families
- Excellent classroom management and communication skills
- Commitment to creating inclusive, supportive classrooms
- Thorough understanding of IEP processes and compliance requirements
- Willingness to work exclusively on-site throughout the contract period
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide instruction and support to students involved in special programs
- Develop and tailor lesson plans per IEP goals for each individual student
- Track and document student progress, adapting approaches as needed
- Work with multidisciplinary teams to implement best practices in special education
- Partner with families, caregivers, and specialists for optimal student outcomes
- Maintain compliance with all district and state regulations
- Foster an encouraging learning environment that supports students’ unique needs
