Special Education Teacher | Eden Prairie, Minnesota

Multiple positions are open for resource teachers and those skilled in center-based programs supporting students with a range of needs including Autism Spectrum Disorders, Emotional Behavioral Disorders, and Developmental Disabilities. Assignments span middle schools and elementary schools, with roles dedicated to students requiring behavioral support, cross-categorical expertise, and individualized instruction.

Key Qualifications:

• Current Minnesota teaching license in at least one of the following: Autism Spectrum Disorders, Developmental Disabilities, Early Childhood Special Education, Emotional Behavioral Disorders, Learning Disabilities, or Academic & Behavioral Strategist (ABS license optional)
• Proven ability to implement and support behavior intervention plans
• Experience with diverse caseloads, including emotional, behavioral, and developmental needs
• Strong instructional skills with a commitment to fostering academic and social growth
• Consistent attendance and reliability
• Ability to effectively collaborate with general education colleagues and paraprofessionals
• Skilled in organizing classroom routines and structures to support all learners

Role Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted instruction to students, adapting methods for individualized learning needs
• Develop and implement effective behavior management strategies
• Maintain compliance with educational plans and documentation requirements
• Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams, including regular education teachers and support staff
• Provide mentorship and guidance to paraprofessionals
• Manage diverse caseloads that include middle school resource support, ASD center-based programs, and DCD programs
• Cover FMLA leave at a designated middle school as scheduled
