Desired Experience & Qualifications:

  • Active Minnesota Special Education license with Physical and Health Disabilities (P/HD) endorsement
  • Experience developing and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with physical impairments
  • Skilled in conducting functional evaluations to guide instructional strategies
  • Familiarity with assistive technology and curriculum modifications
  • Strong track record of positive collaboration with occupational therapists, physical therapists, and classroom teachers
  • Experience in K-12 settings, supporting students across a range of grade levels
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide itinerant support: consult with staff on curriculum adaptations, classroom accessibility, and inclusion strategies
  • Conduct functional student evaluations; develop comprehensive IEPs aligned with student needs
  • Oversee due process, including timely documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance
  • Serve as a resource for assistive technology integration and accessible instructional materials
  • Collaborate actively with school teams, including therapists and classroom teachers, to maximize student growth and inclusion
  • Support professional development efforts and promote best practices in serving students with physical and health disabilities
