Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching licensure/certification for the state of Minnesota
• Demonstrated experience developing and implementing IEPs
• Knowledge of best practices and strategies for teaching students with diverse abilities
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with school personnel, families, and other professionals

Responsibilities:

• Design and deliver individualized instruction to students with special needs in accordance with their IEPs
• Assess students’ academic and social growth, maintaining accurate records and providing regular progress reports
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff to maximize student success
• Facilitate IEP meetings and actively engage parents/guardians in their child’s educational planning
• Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet the unique needs of each student
• Participate in relevant trainings, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities
