Special Education Teacher in Eden Prairie, MN

As a Special Education Teacher on a contract assignment, you will provide individualized instruction and support, working closely with students, families, and colleagues to foster academic, emotional, and social growth.

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher license (Minnesota or eligible for reciprocity)
• Bachelor’s degree (minimum) in Special Education or related field
• Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and documentation
• Proven ability to manage diverse classroom needs and adapt to varying learning styles
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and problem-solving abilities
• Experience with assistive technology and inclusion practices is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, review, and execute IEPs tailored to each student’s needs
• Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging classroom atmosphere
• Collaborate with general educators, paraprofessionals, parents, and service providers
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to accommodate diverse learners
• Monitor student progress, maintain accurate records, and adjust plans as needed
• Participate in meetings, workshops, and professional development to stay current with best practices
