We're seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to join an inspiring educational environment for School Year 27. Two positions are available: one focusing on Elementary and another covering Upper Elementary with some Secondary responsibilities.
Key Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid Special Education teaching certification (state-approved or reciprocal)
- Experience in Elementary and/or Secondary special education settings, preferably in schools
- Ability to develop and adapt lesson plans to meet individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Strong classroom management and communication skills
- Collaborative mindset for working with general educators, support staff, and families
- Knowledge of instructional strategies, accommodations, and modifications for diverse learners
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and accommodations in accordance with students’ IEPs
- Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment fostering academic and social growth
- Collaborate with teaching teams, therapists, administrators, and parents
- Participate in staff development sessions the weeks of August 24 and August 31 as part of your onboarding
- Engage in ongoing professional growth and development opportunities
- Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with all special education regulations
- Support the successful launch of the school year for scholars, with instruction beginning September 8
