Special Education Teacher in Eden Prairie, MN

Step into a rewarding teaching opportunity supporting students with diverse learning needs in a contract role for the upcoming school year. We're seeking dedicated Special Education Teachers to join an inspiring educational environment for School Year 27. Two positions are available: one focusing on Elementary and another covering Upper Elementary with some Secondary responsibilities.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (state-approved or reciprocal)
• Experience in Elementary and/or Secondary special education settings, preferably in schools
• Ability to develop and adapt lesson plans to meet individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• Collaborative mindset for working with general educators, support staff, and families
• Knowledge of instructional strategies, accommodations, and modifications for diverse learners

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and accommodations in accordance with students’ IEPs
• Create a supportive, inclusive classroom environment fostering academic and social growth
• Collaborate with teaching teams, therapists, administrators, and parents
• Participate in staff development sessions the weeks of August 24 and August 31 as part of your onboarding
• Engage in ongoing professional growth and development opportunities
• Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with all special education regulations
• Support the successful launch of the school year for scholars, with instruction beginning September 8
