Experience a rewarding contract opportunity shaping young minds in a supportive school environment near Eden Prairie, MN! There are currently three fulfilling roles available for Special Education Teachers, each offering unique experiences engaging with diverse groups of students.

Position 1:
Provide instruction and case management for up to 14 cross-categorical students. Your schedule will include three “Strategies” periods focused on social and emotional development and supporting students with coursework, one Reading intervention period (curriculum provided), and one Transitions class tailored to help students with higher ASD needs build leisure and social skills. This full-time role spans 37.5 hours per week. Candidates with any teaching licensure are welcome, with a preference for Tier 3 or 4 credentials.

Position 2:
Work within the ACES program, delivering center-based support for students primarily identified with Autism Spectrum Disorder. The focus here is on advancing communication skills, fostering sensory regulation, and utilizing positive strategies to replace inappropriate behaviors with functional communication.

Position 3:
Support students in a center-based environment who are mainly identified with Emotional Behavior Disorders and/or Other Health Disabilities. Your responsibilities will center on helping students develop emotional regulation, appropriate social skills, and foundational academic behaviors, gradually working toward inclusion in general education as students progress. For those needing additional support, you will deliver comprehensive academic instruction.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Licensed Special Education Teacher (any tier accepted, Tier 3 or 4 preferred)
  • Previous experience in special education settings
  • Strong skills in communication, collaboration, and student engagement
  • Dedication to fostering inclusive, supportive learning environments

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized instruction in both academic and social-emotional domains
  • Develop and implement IEPs and monitor student progress
  • Collaborate with support staff and parents to ensure holistic student growth
