Special Education Teacher | Eden Prairie, Minnesota

Make a meaningful impact as a dedicated Special Education Teacher in a contract-based opportunity working within well-resourced center-based programs. You’ll support students with unique educational and behavioral needs, fostering growth and success within a collaborative environment.

Available positions include:

• MAPD: Center-based classroom at an elementary level working closely with students with emotional and behavioral disorders (EBD).
• ACES: Center-based setting supporting elementary students with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), many of whom use assistive or alternative communication and benefit from the Unique Learning Systems curriculum.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching license or eligibility in Minnesota
• Experience or demonstrable interest in supporting students with EBD, ASD, or related disabilities
• Knowledge of IEP development, progress monitoring, and evidence-based instructional strategies
• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including paraprofessionals, therapists, and families
• Strong communication, adaptability, and organization skills

Your Role:

• Deliver differentiated instruction tailored to diverse learning and behavioral needs
• Implement and support alternative curriculum, especially Unique Learning Systems for ACES students
• Foster an inclusive, supportive classroom environment designed for student growth and achievement
• Collect and document data on student progress, using insights to drive instruction
• Collaborate with colleagues and families to develop and monitor individual student plans
• Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and interdisciplinary teamwork
