Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Previous experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a K-12 setting
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual student needs
• Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and progress monitoring
• Positive, patient, and resourceful approach to classroom challenges

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver individualized lesson plans tailored to each student’s needs
• Implement and manage IEPs, maintaining compliance with federal and state regulations
• Assess student progress and adjust instruction accordingly
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
• Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings
• Utilize a range of teaching techniques and assistive technology as needed
