Special Education Teacher in Eden Prairie, MN

A rewarding contract opportunity awaits for a dedicated Special Education Teacher ready to make a difference in students’ lives. This position is based onsite at a single campus near Eden Prairie, MN, providing direct instruction and case management for a small caseload of 5–8 students in grades 1–8. The anticipated start date is October 19, 2026, and the contract runs through June 11, 2027. You’ll work 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, fully immersed in the school community.

What We’re Looking For:

• Current Minnesota teaching licensure from PELSB (Professional Educator Licensing and Standards Board)
• Experience as a Special Education Teacher, ideally in elementary or middle school settings
• Strong background in delivering direct instruction and overseeing individual education plans (IEPs)
• Familiarity with due process requirements and case management responsibilities
• Compassion, organization, and a collaborative mindset
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with students, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as special education teacher and primary case manager for a small, defined caseload
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs, ensuring due process compliance
• Deliver engaging instruction tailored to a diverse range of learning needs in grades 1–8
• Maintain ongoing data collection, reporting, and progress monitoring
• Participate in team meetings, parent conferences, and professional development sessions
• Foster a positive, inclusive environment that supports individual growth and success
