Special Education Teacher | Eden Prairie, Minnesota

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching license or eligibility for certification
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Special Education or a related field
• Prior experience in a school setting is strongly preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and documentation
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt instruction and classroom strategies to accommodate diverse learners

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Differentiate lesson plans and modify curriculum for students with varying abilities
• Conduct assessments to guide instruction and pinpoint student needs
• Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Establish a positive and respectful classroom culture
• Track student progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders
• Participate in IEP meetings, team collaborations, and professional development sessions
