Grades 9 - 12 Certified Special Education Teacher | Eden Prairie, Minnesota

Make a positive impact working with high school students as a Special Education Teacher. This role is designed for dedicated educators passionate about helping learners in grades 9–12 reach their full potential. You’ll join a supportive school environment and manage a caseload of 15 students, collaborating with related service professionals to develop and implement robust Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).

This is a contract opportunity, with a consistent daytime schedule—typically beginning around 7:30 am and concluding near 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday. Each day consists of 7.25 working hours, including a 30-minute unpaid lunch break.

What You'll Need:

• A valid Tier 3 Minnesota Department of Education License in Special Education
• Experience in drafting, updating, and executing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Strong collaboration skills to work closely with related services staff
• Ability to engage and motivate students in grades 9–12
• Excellent communication and organizational strengths
• Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive classroom environment

Your Day-to-Day:

• Manage a caseload of approximately 15 high school students across grades 9-12
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs aligned with student goals and state requirements
• Coordinate with counselors, therapists, and other staff to provide targeted support
• Foster a positive, adaptive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation
• Communicate regularly with families about progress and strategies
• Utilize data to adjust instruction to meet individual learning needs
