Qualifications:

• Valid New Mexico PED Special Education Teacher certification is required
• Experience supporting middle school grade levels, particularly in inclusion-based environments
• Strong understanding of differentiated instruction and accommodations for diverse learners
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive, and engaging classroom community
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working with staff and families

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student’s goals and needs
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to provide effective inclusion services
• Monitor student progress and adjust instructional strategies as needed for success
• Maintain accurate records and participate in IEP meetings
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians about student progress and achievements
• Cultivate a positive, respectful, and growth-oriented classroom environment
