Desired Experience & Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification
• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Special Education or a related field
• Previous experience teaching or assisting in K-3rd grade classrooms preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Adaptable and creative approach to individualized instruction

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instruction and tailored educational supports to elementary students with diverse learning needs
• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) in collaboration with parents and multidisciplinary teams
• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom culture that encourages all students to achieve their potential
• Employ proven and innovative strategies to support academic, social, and behavioral growth
• Track student progress, maintaining detailed records in accordance with school and state requirements
• Participate in regular meetings with staff and families to discuss and revise student goals and progress
