Special Education Teacher - Edison, NJ

You’ll be joining a supportive educational environment from 09/01/2026 through 06/24/2027, working with students in a specialized math classroom. Candidates will be expected to provide expert instruction while reinforcing a positive, inclusive atmosphere tailored for individual learning styles. This role is onsite only, offering a full 35-hour work week.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification required
• Demonstrated credits in Mathematics
• Candidates holding a Teacher of the Handicapped certification must also possess math credits
• Strong classroom management and collaboration skills
• Previous experience working with special education populations preferred

Responsibilities:

• Deliver and adapt curriculum for students with varying needs and learning abilities
• Create IEP-aligned lesson plans that emphasize mathematical concepts and problem-solving
• Collaborate regularly with fellow educators, families, and support staff
• Participate in IEP meetings and track student progress meticulously
• Provide a safe, respectful classroom culture that encourages student engagement
