Qualifications:

  • Valid New Jersey Teaching License with Students with Disabilities endorsement required
  • Previous experience supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder strongly preferred
  • Background in elementary special education settings is a plus
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt instructional strategies to individual student needs
  • Commitment to fostering an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized and group instruction within an elementary autism classroom
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs tailored to each student's unique goals
  • Utilize evidence-based practices and behavioral interventions to promote positive outcomes
  • Work closely with related services staff, paraprofessionals, and families
  • Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and data collection
  • Support social, emotional, and academic growth for all students
  • Participate in team meetings, training, and professional development as required
