Special Education Teacher in Edwards, CO

Exciting opportunities await for dedicated Special Education professionals passionate about early childhood education! Two contract positions are available supporting PreK students in a vibrant, collaborative setting, working across multiple school sites in a beautiful Colorado location. This role focuses on providing tailored support to young learners and making a lasting impact in their educational journey.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Experience working with early childhood/PreK populations preferred
• Strong understanding of IEP development and documentation
• Commitment to inclusivity and differentiated instruction
• Adaptable, collaborative attitude for working with diverse school teams
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEPs) for PreK students
• Collaborate closely with families, specialists, and general education teachers
• Deliver direct instruction and support services both individually and in small groups
• Track student progress and maintain thorough, timely records
• Serve as an advocate for students’ needs within multi-disciplinary teams
• Provide guidance and resources to staff regarding inclusive practices and classroom strategies

Assignment Details:

• Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 7:30 am to 3:30 pm)
• August 2026 through late May 2027
• Caseload of 10-20 students, working across multiple district sites assigned according to your expertise
