Special Education Teacher - Effingham, South Carolina

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teaching License (open to emergency and pending certifications)
• Interest in working with K-2nd grade students in an autism-focused environment or with PreK SPED students
• Willing to consider candidates in Teachers of America and ITeach programs
• Previous experience in self-contained classrooms is a plus, but not required
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with paras and fellow educators
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction to students based on IEP goals and classroom needs
• Collaborate closely with paraprofessionals and support staff to enhance student learning
• Develop lesson plans, adapt curriculum, and implement positive behavioral interventions
