What we’re looking for:

• Valid teaching license with a special education endorsement.
• Current certification to teach special education in applicable grade levels (elementary, middle, or high school).
• Previous experience working in school-based settings, preferably across any of the listed grade ranges.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to create inclusive classroom environments.
• A collaborative mindset to work effectively with general education teachers, staff, and families.
• Thorough knowledge of IEP processes, modifications, and accommodations ensuring each student’s needs are met.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s goals and abilities.
• Deliver engaging, differentiated instruction to meet diverse learning needs in an inclusive classroom environment.
• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to foster student achievement.
• Monitor and assess student progress, maintaining accurate and detailed documentation.
• Communicate frequently with families regarding students’ academic, social, and behavioral growth.
• Participate in professional development and staff meetings to stay informed on the latest practices and regulations.
