Special Ed Teacher | Elgin, Illinois

A full-time position is available for a Special Education Teacher to support students during the extended school year (CSY) program in Elgin, IL. This role focuses on providing specialized instruction and interventions to students with a range of disabilities, primarily emotional disabilities and specific learning disabilities. The position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the academic and behavioral growth of students aged 3 to 22 years who have active Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted, specialized instruction aligned with individual IEP goals
• Implement intensive academic and behavioral interventions tailored to student needs
• Collaborate effectively with related service providers and support personnel
• Monitor and document student progress accurately and consistently
• Create and maintain a structured, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment

Qualifications:

• Valid and active Special Education teaching certification with LBS1 endorsement
• Experience working with students who have emotional disabilities and learning challenges
• Demonstrated ability to provide high-level, individualized support
• Strong skills in classroom management and behavior intervention
