Middle school students in need of resource or co-taught special education services are seeking a dedicated professional to guide and support them throughout the school year. This contract position runs from August 17th to May 28th, totaling 37.5 hours per week and serves a close-knit group of approximately 15 students.
Key Qualifications:
- Hold an active Special Education Teacher certification
- Experience in school-based special education settings, preferably at the middle school level
- Skilled in developing and implementing IEPs and differentiated instructional strategies
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with general education teachers and related service providers
- Adaptable to working without classroom assistants or paraprofessionals
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized and co-taught instructional support to resource students
- Design engaging lesson plans that accommodate diverse learning needs
- Monitor and document student progress in compliance with IEP goals
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment
- Collaborate actively with staff to promote student achievement
- Communicate effectively with families regarding student progress and strategies for support
