This contract opportunity is designed for an experienced Special Education Teacher eager to provide exceptional instruction and support within a self-contained autism classroom for grades 3-5. You'll join a team that shares your passion for individualized education, working onsite from November 6th through the end of the school year.

Your classroom consists of nine remarkable students, each with unique talents and needs. The focus is on delivering a structured, engaging environment that respects and nurtures every child’s growth. Your days will be rich with collaboration and creativity as you implement personalized strategies for learning and behavioral support.

Qualifications:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (required)
• Prior experience in a self-contained classroom environment
• Expertise with autism support strategies and adaptive curriculum
• Strong communication, flexibility, and organizational skills
• Dedication to building positive, cooperative relationships with students, staff, and families

Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver targeted lessons tailored to individual student needs
• Create and maintain a supportive, structured classroom environment
• Collaborate with other professionals and paraprofessionals
• Build and adapt IEPs in alignment with district and state guidelines
• Track progress and communicate regularly with families and team members
• Foster independence and social-emotional growth among students
