Special Education Teacher - Elgin, South Carolina

Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification (state-specific credentials preferred)
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Special Education or related field
• Experience working with students with disabilities in a school setting
• Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills
• Ability to collaborate effectively with other teachers, administrators, and families
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• Passion for supporting student success and inclusion

Responsibilities:

• Deliver personalized instruction based on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Adapt curriculum and teaching methods to meet the needs of students with a range of disabilities
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate records
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop, monitor, and update IEPs
• Provide a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment
• Communicate regularly with families regarding student goals and progress
• Participate in professional development, meetings, and trainings as required
