Desired Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid teaching certification as a Special Education Teacher
• Prior school-based experience working with students in grades K-6 preferred
• Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, families, and staff
• Adept in developing and implementing IEPs, progress monitoring, and maintaining compliance documentation
• Collaborative approach to working with general education teachers and support staff

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide specialized instruction designed to meet the unique needs of students with diverse abilities, either in a Resource or Self-contained classroom setting
• Develop and deliver creative, differentiated lessons aligned with students’ IEP goals
• Assess student progress and make recommendations for instructional adjustments
• Facilitate meaningful communication with parents and participate in IEP meetings
• Maintain a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere that fosters respect and growth
