Special Education Teacher - Elizabeth City, North Carolina

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Valid Special Education teaching certification (or eligibility for North Carolina)
• Experience working with elementary-age students
• Solid understanding of IEP processes and best practices in special education
• Strong communication, organizational, and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual student needs in grades 3-5
• Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs
• Foster a safe, encouraging, and inclusive classroom environment
• Work closely with general education teachers, support staff, and families
• Track and report student progress, updating goals as needed
• Participate in meetings, parent conferences, and professional development as required
