Seeking an experienced Special Education Teacher with a strong background in math or science for a full and extended school year assignment at the high school level (grades 9-12). This position focuses on guiding learners through both traditional academic terms and specialized year-round programming.

What We’re Looking For:

• Valid Special Education Teacher certification
• Demonstrated expertise in math or science instruction
• Experience working with high school students (grades 9-12)
• Ability to adapt lessons and support students with diverse IEP needs
• Strong classroom management and communication skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide individualized and small group instruction in math or science for students in a high school setting
• Develop and implement effective IEPs in collaboration with colleagues, families, and support staff
• Create engaging lesson plans that accommodate various learning abilities and styles
• Track and report student progress, ensuring compliance with district and state requirements
• Foster a supportive, inclusive environment that encourages student participation and growth
• Participate in meetings, professional development, and school events relevant to the special education department
