Key Qualifications:

  • Valid New Jersey Teaching License with Students with Disabilities endorsement

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with colleagues, students, and families
  • Ability to adapt instruction and environment to support individualized education plans (IEPs)

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized instruction and behavioral support in an autism-specific elementary classroom
  • Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in accordance with student needs and state regulations
  • Foster a positive, encouraging atmosphere tailored to individual learning and communication styles
  • Work collaboratively with paraeducators, therapists, and other specialists
  • Engage with families to support student growth and extend learning beyond the classroom
