This full-time role supports students in grades 7-12, empowering learning and personal growth within a vibrant school environment dedicated to students with autism. From August 17, 2026, to May 26, 2027, your expertise will make a lasting impact on students’ academic and social development in an onsite setting.

What you’ll bring:

  • Current Pennsylvania Special Education Teacher Certification (required)
  • Experience working with students on the autism spectrum in a secondary school setting preferred
  • In-depth understanding of IEP development, implementation, and progress tracking
  • Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Compassion, patience, and a genuine passion for fostering inclusive education

Key responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated instruction tailored to students with autism in accordance with IEP goals
  • Use evidence-based strategies and assistive technology to maximize student learning and participation
  • Assess student progress and document growth, adjusting approaches as needed
  • Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff to create cohesive learning experiences
  • Communicate regularly with families to support student achievement and address concerns
  • Maintain a positive, safe classroom environment, encouraging independence and self-advocacy
