As an onsite Emotional Behavior Disorder (EBD) Special Education Teacher, you will work with elementary students in a center-based setting that celebrates curiosity, innovation, and hands-on learning. The assignment is set to begin in early September 2026 and conclude in June 2027, with full-time weekday hours to match the school schedule.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Valid Minnesota Teaching Certification, Tier 3 or 4, required for presentation and application
  • Proven experience or strong interest in working with students with emotional and behavioral needs
  • Deep understanding of evidence-based strategies and interventions for emotional and behavioral support
  • Familiarity with IEP processes, assessments, and progress monitoring
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
  • Passion for STEM-based learning is a plus—students participate in programs like Project Lead the Way Launch

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement individualized lesson plans and behavioral supports for a caseload of EBD students
  • Foster a safe, engaging classroom atmosphere where all children can succeed academically and socially
  • Collaborate closely with general education teachers, school staff, and families
  • Utilize data-driven practices to assess progress, adjust interventions, and meet IEP goals
  • Support students’ growth in mathematics, science, engineering, and related projects
